Used Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD Lens (Nikon AF)

The Tamron SP 70-300mm lens uses one LD (Low Dispersion) and one XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) element to counteract colour fringing that is caused by the refraction of light in traditional lens elements. The result is extremely low levels of chromatic aberration and contrast and sharpness that are class beating.



Multiple BBAR (Broad Band Anti Reflection) coatings have been employed to keep flare and ghosting to negligible levels and the inclusion of a flower shape hood makes sure that stray light is kept from entering the lens.

Ultrasonic Silent Drive Focus
First introduced in this lens, this technology uses ultrasonic wave interactions to propel the focus mechanism quickly and precisely to its desired point. The end result is ultra-fast focus even at long focal lengths, making this lens ideal for sports and wildlife photography. If you prefer manual focus this is attainable at any time without a switch, just by rotating the focus ring manually – courtesy of the Full Time Manual Focus feature. Filters are easily managed too thanks to fully internal focusing.

Vibration Compensation
The image stabilisation for this lens works from three coils and offers up to four extra stops of smaller apertures to be used, allowing for much greater scope when shooting fast moving or dimly lit subjects.

Also features 1:4 Macro magnification and full frame or APS-C compatibility.
