Aspheric lens elements ensure high sharpness and contrast levels, while the quiet and smooth focus & aperture adjustments make it a perfect choice when shooting HD video. The seven aperture blades are rounded to give a pleasing even softness to areas that are not in focus. Direct Manual Focus is another useful feature that has a non-rotating focus ring when AF is engaged but which is easily rotated by hand for instantaneous, easy manual focus.
