      The successor to Sigma’s very successful APO Macro 105mm f/2.8 EX DG lens, the Sigma 105mm Macro f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens comes with further improved optical performance – One Special Low Dispersion element (SLD) and one high refractive index SLD lens – to give very low distortion and vignetting. There are also four full stops of image stabilisation.

      This true 1:1 macro lens features Super Layer multi-coating for an outstanding level of contrast and reduction of flare, even when shooting towards light sources. The closest focusing distance is 31.2cm with 1:1 Macro magnification. 105mm also gives a better working distance in most circumstances compared with a 50mm lens, allowing you to magnify small objects just as much but from a more comfortable distance. As well as macro applications, the perspective of this lens also lends itself to portraiture

      As well as having four stops of image stabilisation, the 105mm EX lens has a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) for quiet and high speed focus. This super-fast design has a ring-type design for the option and flexibility of “Full Time Manual” focus override. As the focus mechanism is internal, you can add slotted filter systems with confidence, knowing that the front element will not rotate during use.

      Finally, this lens is equipped with a Rounded 9-blade diaphragm, making its application in portraiture especially pleasing, giving a smoothness to defocused areas of your image. Includes exact fit hood and padded lens case.
