The Plustek OpticFilm 8200i Ai Scanner is the range topper of the 8000 series and has specialised colour calibration, and advanced workflow management. It also has specialised illumination and optical technology to get the very best image quality and resolve the most subtle differences in edge contrast.

In addition, this dedicated film scanner uses infra-red technology to detect physical defects such as scratches on the film, thus avoiding loss of image quality by having to retouch the image. Also includes first rate software packages.

High Quality Scanning
The OpticFilm 8200i Ai scans at 7200dpi resolution and has a 48-bit colour depth, ensuring your images are highly detailed and have spot-on colour rendition. With 64-bit hardware and software support and Multi-Exposure function to improve dynamic range (defines highlights and shadows far better) you have added control over how your pictures look.

Colour Calibration
Ideal for removing colour casts from aged film and unfavourable lighting, the Auto IT8 calibration adjusts colour balance so you can enjoy images as they were intended with restored subtlety of colour.

Blemish Removal
This scanner has SilverFast iSRD^TM technology which uses a special infrared channel from the light source. This is able to detect imperfections in the film surface without even “looking” at the visible image. Thus dust and scratches are corrected without loss of image detail. The Ai version here can also mask off and layer, especially useful for Kodachrome and monochrome images.

The Optic Film 8200i Ai comes with a holder for four mounted slides and a holder for a strip of up to 6 negatives.

Organise files like you would in Internet Explorer, open scans without opening other applications, and stack image and document files of different types. You can even extract text from images using OCR (Optical Character Recognition), annotate files, and crop, rotate, flip and enhance images.

The Optic Film 8200i Ai comes with a holder for four mounted slides and a holder for a strip of up to 6 negatives. It also comes with a carrying bag which accommodates two film holders, USB lead and a power adapter as well as the scanner itself.
