The Nikon Z 6III is a full-frame hybrid mirrorless camera that offers an incredible level of performance for photographers and videographers. At the heart of the camera is a partially stacked 24.5 MP full-frame CMOS sensor, and EXPEED 7 processor that drives the camera’s blazing AF speed and EVF refresh rates, as well as its impressive light sensitivity. Stills shooters get a consistently smooth view through the viewfinder and can unleash up to 120 fps without worrying about rolling shutter distortion.
Videographers can deliver 6K and 5.4K footage straight from the camera or create detail-rich 4K UHD video oversampled from 6K in-camera. In addition, both stills and video shooters benefit from Nikon’s intelligent subject detection, with tracking on the eyes in people or animal modes, and they can keep on shooting into the night thanks to the sensor’s broad ISO range and AF sensitivity down to –10 EV.

Backed by the power of the EXPEED 7 processor, this partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor delivers incredible image quality with eye-widening dynamic range and colour fidelity. Phenomenal sensor scan speeds and ultra-fast data readout fuel blazing AF calculations on a level with the Z8 and Z9, counter rolling shutter distortion, and enable EVF refresh rates of 60 fps during continuous shooting at 20 fps.

Flagship autofocus
Blisteringly fast AF calculations on a par with the Z8 and Z9 allow remarkable precision at high-speed frame rates, while deep-learning technology powers impressive subject detection in Auto-Area AF and Manual Focus, or when using Auto Capture. There are also dedicated subject detection modes for people and animals: tracking on the eyes is incredible, even if your subject is extremely small in the frame.

You can unleash 120 fps (10 MP DX-format JPEGs), or 60 fps (24 MP full-frame JPEGs) without worrying about rolling shutter distortion. Full pixel readout maintains dynamic range, so you can even crop in without compromising image detail.

Hi-resolution EVF with ultra-wide colour gamut
with refresh rates of 60 fps, the 4000-nit, 5670k-dot EVF displays consistently smooth, high-definition views. A wide (DCI-P3) colour gamut displays lifelike colours with no colour banding.

High-resolution vari-angle touchscreen
No matter which angle you’re filming from, the fully articulating 2100k-dot vari-angle touchscreen always gives you a clear, highly detailed view of the scene. Key shooting information including a waveform can be displayed, and a red border frame confirms you’re recording. Filming yourself? You can flip the screen around to a front-facing orientation.

Record 6K video
In-camera recording up to 6K/60p (RAW) and 5.4K/60p (YUV) lets you deliver pristine footage straight from the camera, pull HD verticals for your socials and so much more. You can create detail-rich 4K UHD/60p video oversampled from 6K in-camera. Or shoot 10-bit log files with extensive depth and dynamic range, ready for precise colour grading.

Film slow motion at 240p
Show the beauty of the moves inside the moves with majestic slow-motion sequences. You can record full frame, Full HD footage at 240p (10x slow motion). Or tighten the view without changing lenses by recording in DX-crop mode at 4K/120p. The option to record in 10-bit H.265 gives you maximum flexibility over colour grading in post.

Pro quality sound
In a first for Nikon cameras, the Z6III’s external mic input can function as a line-level input that lets you connect your audio recorder or mixer directly to the camera. You’ll be able to capture professional quality sound in-camera while filming.

8.0-stop VR with focus-point stabilisation
An incredible 8.0 stops of in-camera image stabilisation2 gives you the freedom to nail super-sharp handheld shots, even at night. If you’re using a NIKKOR Z lens without built-in VR, Focus Point VR will stabilise the area around the active focus point no matter where it is in the frame: it’s a game changer for creative wide-angle compositions.

Tough build
Both body and battery function in temperatures as cold as –10 C/14 F and premium weather sealing protects the camera in rainy and dusty environments. When the camera is powered off, a VR lock activates to prevent accidental damage to the sensor. Plus, the magnesium-alloy front cover keeps the camera light while also being incredibly resistant to impact. The top and back plates are manufactured from lightweight Sereeboã P Series carbon fibre—a high-performance, high-strength injection-moulded material with the same structural strength as magnesium.
