Dual Pixel Intelligent AF and Eye Control AF
The Canon EOS R5 Mark II’s Dual Pixel Intelligent AF and Eye Control AF set new standards. Sharp focus is maintained on moving subjects, even when briefly obscured from view. Action Priority mode detects players in sport moving the active AF area in response to specific actions – such as a shot on goal.

Next Generation Eye Control AF
Select an AF area, or a subject to track, simply by looking at it. The use of newly developed optics and a revised line-of-sight algorithm enhances the accuracy of the system, compared with the EOS R3, and broadens the angle over which the system is effective, for a more natural experience.

A 3.2-inch, 2.1 million-dot touch-sensitive viewscreen pivots away from the camera body and swivels through 270˚, making it easy and instinctive to shoot from different angles. VR content can be reviewed easily in VR Preview mode.

Smooth and steady
The EOS R5 Mark II’s refined 8.5-stop in-body Image Stabilizer effectively smooths out any unintentional camera movement when working handheld. Create footage so smooth you’d think it was shot using a gimbal or dolly.

Pre-continuous shooting
15 frames are buffered continuously while the shutter-release is half pressed, and written to memory card when you actually take the shot. This lets you capture images from the previous ½ sec, so you nail that decisive moment. At slower shooting speeds, the pre-capture time increases, giving you even more flexibility.
